About Harrison Kettyls

Harrison completed his Master’s of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. Prior to this, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in his hometown at the University of Victoria. Harrison has worked in a variety of clinical environments and communities across BC from VGH Emergency Department to rural practice in Haida Gwaii. Outside the clinic he also works with a variety of sports teams including the WLA Salmonbellies. Before starting his physiotherapy career, he worked as a kinesiologist and a strength and conditioning coach with varsity and Canadian U20 athletes.

Harrison uses an evidence-based approach comprised of manual therapy and individualized exercise prescription, in which his patients are an active participant in their care. Patient education is an integral part of his treatments ensuring patients understand the causes, expected healing timelines and outcomes. Part of his care involves helping prevent future injuries from occurring while fostering healthy relationships with exercise and movement that can be adapted long-term.

Harrison is passionate about getting people back to the activities they love to do whether that is playing sports at the national level sport or pickleball at their neighbourhood court. In his spare time, Harrison loves being active, when he’s not in the gym you can find him outdoors playing soccer, hiking, camping, surfing, and snowboarding. He also enjoys photography and playing his guitar
